Currently many email services do not allow users to send files having unsupported
file formats like exe etc.
Error message gets displayed when user tries to send such files.
This post will describe how to send unsupported files via email services like gmail, yahoo, hotmail etc. Following image shows common error message which gets displayed when user tries to send exe file via gmail.
However gmail will not show any error while file is being uploaded and scanned. It shows error only when user tries to send email containing such unsupported file.
Instructions:
1. Access folder options by going like Control Panel->Performance and Maintenance->File
Types->View. In advanced settings you can see 'Hide extensions for known file types'
option.Disable it. Click on 'Ok' button to save changes.

3. Go to folder containing exe files or unsupported files. Right click on folder and go like
Send To->Compressed(zipped) Folder.
4. You can see new compressed folder with extension 'zip'. Right click on folder and click
on Rename option.
5. Append '.txt' after '.zip' extension of folder name. You can now attach this compressed
folder containing unsupported files.
